#ebola “No new confirmed case of Ebola Virus Disease in Nigeria” – Health Minister
Reports that five new cases of the deadly Ebola Virus have been detected in Lagos have been debunked by Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, Nigeria’s health minister.
Chukwu said the clarification became necessary following media reports
of five new cases in Lagos State, adding that the report should be
disregarded. He said: “However, as at 7 pm today, there is no other
confirmed Ebola Virus Disease case in Nigeria outside the two that are currently under treatment at the isolation ward in Lagos.”
