S’African victims’ relations vow to sue TB Joshua, LASG begin DNA identification test

Thanduxolo Doro and Mpho Molebatsi, two South Africans who both lost their sisters at the Synagogue building collapse on September 12th have vowed to drag pastor T.B.Joshua to court for what they describe as negligence on the part of the church for not allowing rescue workers help save the victims after the collapse as well as withholding information after the unfortunate incident.

The South Africans who were guests on a BBC programme this week said they are calling on other family members to come forward so that they can unanimously press charges against T.B. Joshua
"I understand that some families are afraid to take on someone who purports to be God’s messenger and I don’t blame them but I will do this. It is not that the building collapsed, rather what was done after the collapse. We didn’t get any news from the church. When I contacted them they wouldn’t tell me anything. We saw reports that emergency workers were denied access initially, access that could have saved lives. The actions of the church after the incident are very telling,”  Doro, whose sister Vathiswa Madikiza died said
Doro has since published an open letter in a South African daily calling on more families to come forward so they can all sue T.B. Joshua,
"I need to do this for her. Even if I stand alone, I am determined to see that something is done" he said
In a related development, the Lagos state government today announced the commencement of the DNA identification test of the 115 dead bodies brought out from the collapsed building.

While announcing this, Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide Idris called on families who lost loved ones to come forward with DNA samples so that the bodies can be properly identified and released to them for proper burial. He said loved ones of the dead victims are to visit the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital(LASUTH) from today to submit samples that could aid the forensic identification and DNA analysis of recovered bodies. He said only children, parents and siblings of the deceased are eligible to submit samples.

The Lagos state government today September 26th also constituted a coroner inquest that will investigate the real reason the building collapsed. The Lagos state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Ade Ipaye in a statement said Magistrate O.A.Komolafe who headed the Dana Air crash case will be heading the coroner inquest

Why i will never wear mini skirt again” – FOLUKE DARAMOLA

Actress Foluke Daramola has been in the news because of her controversial marriage to a man whose wife accused her of snatching him.The actress who once revealed she was raped opened up on why she stopped wearing mini skirts, her love for watches and perfumes ..

On What she would never wear

You will never see me wear a short skirt or a micro mini skirt; even though my husband really loves my legs. Because of my rape experience, I have phobia for mini skirts. I was wearing a mini-skirt then.

How many wristwatches do you have?

Right now because I buy and give out, I think I have about 40 wristwatches while I have lost count of my perfume but it cannot be less than 60.

On maintaining her complexion

There was a time bloggers were ‘yabbing’ me that I bleached my skin. When I went into my first marriage, I had a lot of challenges and because of that, I was not able to take care of my skin. I have never been a dark-complexioned person, neither have I been extremely fair. One thing about me is that I don’t like using harsh substance on my skin. Since I was about 10 years old, I would always have my bath in the morning and in the evening, I don’t miss it. I also use natural substances on my body like honey which I use to steam my face, ‘ori’ (shea butter) for my hair and whatever cream I use; baby oil has to be included. I like to look as natural as possible, I don’t like looking too artificial and that is why you can never find a tattoo on me. Whenever I use a cream and see that it is making my skin too fair, I stop using it and allow my skin to rest. I don’t like make-up so I allow my skin to breathe. When I was younger, I hardly used harsh substance on my skin. I have always been a tomboy.

Bizzare!!! 'Dead' woman heard screaming from inside coffin after being buried alive

Cemetery workers raced to a newly-dug grave after they heard banging and muffled shouting an hour after a 45-year-old woman was buried.

As they grabbed tools and anything they could find, they rushed to dig the grave up again after the woman woke up to find herself buried alive in a coffin.

But tragically, the un-named woman died before her would-be rescuers could reach her inside the plot at a cemetery near Greece’s Thessaloniki.

Now police are probing why the woman was pronounced dead by doctors treating her for cancer, only to be found alive.

Her grieving family arranged her funeral at the graveyard in Peraia, a small town 16 miles south of Thessaloniki, Greece’s main city in the north.

Shortly after the last relatives left the cemetery on Thursday, residents and a group of children playing outside reportedly heard a female voice shouting for help from inside the grave.

They called the police, and began digging up the grave to save her but she had suffocated to death inside the coffin, it was reported.

However, a doctor who was at the scene and examined the woman’s body, said she had been dead for hours and could not have been revived.

Dr Chrissi Matsikoudi told Greek TV channel MEGA: "I just don’t believe it. We did several tests including one for heart failure on the body. It would have been impossible for someone in a state of rigor mortis to have been shouting and hitting the coffin like that.”

A coroner is expected to examine the body.

Meanwhile, relatives of the dead woman say they are considering filing a complaint against the doctors responsible for her treatment at the cancer clinic.

Yahoo Boys How many ears do you have EFCC Arraign Two for $91,000 Internet Fraud

Find the EFCC press release below...
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, September 26, 2014 arraigned Dandeson Ebosele Ibhonitie, 26, (a.k.a Dandy James, Connor Mead and Barrister Louis Harpoch and Ohiwerei Charity, 31, before Justice E. F. Ikponmwen of Edo State High Court, Benin-City on a 3- count charge bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence.
Ibhonitie and Charity allegedly belong to the group of fraudsters using the internet to defraud unsuspecting victims.
Ibhonitie allegedly defrauded one Mrs. Weidman Andrea Sabrie, a German, of the sum of $ 91,000 (Ninety-One Thousand United States Dollars) by pretending to be an American working in Nigeria for a road construction company.
To access the proceeds of the fraud, Ibhonitie allegedly opened a domiciliary account in the name of one Mr. Steven. He entered into an agreement with Charity, the account officer that opened the account for him, on how the proceeds from the crime will be shared. By the arrangement, Charity was to keep 3 percent of every inflow to herself while 7 percent will go to Ibhonitie. The remaining 90 percent, by the arrangement, went to Steven. However, investigations showed that Ibhonitie was the same as Steven.
When the charges were read to them, they pleaded not guilty.
One of the counts read:
"Dandeson Ebosele Ibhonitie (a.k.a Dandy James, Connor Mead, Barrister Louis Harpoch, Brett Francis Steven (still at large) and Ohiwerei Charity on or about the 2nd day of April, 2014 at Benin within the Benin judicial division, with intent to defraud obtained the sum of USD 45,000.00(Forty Five Thousand United State Dollars) from Mrs. Weidman Andrea Sabrie, a German national through Skye Bank of Nigeria Limited Account No: 2520346555 in the name of Dandy James by falsely pretending to her that the said sum of money represented legal fee for Barrister Louis Harpoch for your defense which pretence you knew to be false".
In view of their pleas, prosecuting counsel, Ayokunle Fayanju, prayed the court for a trial date. He also opposed the bail applications of the defendants.

Justice Ikponmwen adjourned the matter till August, 30, 2014 for hearing of bail applications and ordered that the defendants be remanded in prison custody.

If elected, I will not go into office with blonde hair - Tony Tetuila

Singer Tony Tetuila, who is vying for a political post, says if elected into office, his blonde hair will be a thing of the past. He said this while reacting to the recent backlash he received from fans for using his tinted hair for his campaign posters
"I am not going into office to sing, though I am an artiste, I am going to serve my people. I am not going to office with the tinted hair. I was discussing with some youth leaders who said I could leave the hair but now that people are speaking on it, I have to do what my people want" he told tribune. I only used the blonde hair to campaign because everybody knows Tetuila with that trademark" he said
Tetuila went further to state that he is not venturing into politics because he is broke
"How can I be broke? I am not broke, everybody knows where I am coming from. I am not going into politics for the fun of it. We artiste always sing about poverty but rarely do anything about it. If you know songs like "prayer for Naija" and "e go better", you will see that we only complain but we don't do anything about the suffering. We want Nigerians to live a better life. What I am going to deliver matters and not the hair" he said

The Gongo Aso cronner (9ice) says he plans to quit music for politics

In an interview with Sun News, 9ice says he plans to quit music to concentrate fully on politics because he can't be singing at 35. He can't? What he said below...

Yes, I want to leave music for politics. Next year January, I will be 35-years-old and I’m not praying to still be in music at that age. I am serious about politics now. If you listen to my music, you would notice that politics has been part of me; it’s in my blood. When I started initially, I talked about being your brother’s keeper, and that’s why I studied Law at Lagos State University before I dropped out to concentrate on my music career. I hate when things go wrong. When two or three people are having issues, I love to get there to settle their differences. I have passion for politics and it has always been in my blood."
If you go fully into politics, most of your friends and fans will miss you?
I will say they will love me more by the time they see the plans that I have for them. I have so many plans on my mind. Imagine if the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti was a politician, he will not just criticize the mistakes of our leaders but also correct them. Imagine if Wole Soyinka was to be the president of this nation, people like him are only preaching the truth and criticising the government but they are not ready to get into politics to make corrections. I am tired of preaching, I want to contribute my own quota for the sake of my people. We have graduates riding commercial motorcycles (okada), selling meat etc, their certificates are not being used but they are shouting that the government is not doing well. There can’t be any change if the youths don’t stand-up now to do something to help the country.

Kim K spotted out and about in Paris today...that butt though...:-)

The Most richest blogger in west africa Linda Ikeji just bought a brand new 2014 Range Rover

Find her statement and some picture of the car below.
Yay! My dad finally gave me permission to buy the 2014 Range Rover and I'm beyond happy. I've wanted this car for so long but he was against me buying it. But it's my birthday this Friday and he finally agreed that I could buy it for myself as a birthday present.

So he and I went to a car company in Victoria Island yesterday and bought this brand new 2014 Range Rover Sport Supercharged. I bought it for N24million. Yeah, I know! Its a lot of money to spend on a car but I've been wanting this car since it came out...so...lol. But I swear I've been feeling so guilty since I bought it. I keep telling myself 'do you know how many lives you would have changed with N24million?" A lot, I know...but my life is important too na, abi? Lol.

Anyway, to make myself feel better, the September LIB giveaway will be bigger than ever...and I'm more determined now to start my #I'dratherbeselfmade campaign where I will mentor and help some young girls start their own businesses. Anyway continue to see more photos...

And yep, I still have my other cars...my 2008 Toyota Camry and 2011 Infinity FX 35. #Biggirlthingz. lol.

Now there's something I want to say to all the young girls reading this. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a man buying you things, but always remember that if you believe in yourselves and your dreams, you work hard and stay focused, there's absolutely nothing you can't buy for yourself. I'm not only buying myself cars that I want, I'm in the process of buying my own house, with my own money.

I made it on my own, in my own way and on my own terms. If anybody ever tells you that the only way you can make it in life is by laying on your back, the person lied to you. You don't have to do that. You shouldn't do that. You are strong, you are brave, you have been blessed with a talent, find yourself, believe in yourself, push yourself...and never give up. No money is sweeter than your own money, trust me. You can do it. Yes, you! You can do it. Just be patient, pay attention and work your butt off.

It's not easy trust me...if you think I had success overnight, you thought wrong. November this year will make it eight years that I've been blogging. Every single day! Before then I was a model, I was a model manager, I was an events planner, I was a columnist, I wrote a book, then I became a blogger. I put my hands in so many things because I was determined to make it in life. Finally one paid off - blogging.

I'm not better than you, if I can make it, so can you! Just never think the only option you have is men. YOU are an option and once you go to God and tell Him what you want to do and He sees that you are serious, He will lead you, He will guide you and He will make all your dreams come true.

Think about it, the people who are successful in life don't have two heads. Why can't you be one of them? You really can be. It's up to you.

Finally, I will soon start my 'I Will Rather Be Self Made' campaign where I will mentor young girls and also help some of you start your own small scale businesses by financing it...so look out for that. I will make an announcement on this soon.

Alright guys, going to bed. Cheers and thanks for everything. YOU guys changed my life. Thank you. Am happy for you

The 12 soldiers who attacked their GOC in Maiduguri have been sentenced to death

13 out of the 18 soldiers standing trial for participating in the mutiny (revolt action) against their General Officer Commanding, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Mohammed at the newly created 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri on May 12th have been sentenced to death by a military court that sat in Abuja yesterday night September 15th.

Five others were discharged and acquitted while one was jailed for 28 days with hard labor. Choi, they should temper justice with mercy biko o. Continue
he soldiers had on May 14th revolted against poor remuneration and lack of sophisticated weapons to fight Boko Haram. On that particular day, the soldiers lost their cool after seeing the corpse of some of their colleagues killed by Boko Haram men. They immediately opened fire on their GOC, who luckily escaped unhurt. The President of the Court Martial (military court), Maj. Gen. C.C. Okonkwo, while delivering his judgement said the 12 soldiers were found guilty of criminal conspiracy, mutiny, attempt to commit murder (shooting at the vehicle of the GOC); insubordination to a particular order; insubordination and false accusation. Those sentenced are Jasper Braidolor, David Musa, Friday Onuh, Yusuf Shuaibu, Igonmu Emmanuel, Andrew Ugbede, Nurudeen Ahmed, Ifeanyi Alukagba, Alao Samuel, Amadi Chukwuma, Alan Linus, and Stephen Clement. The legal team of the convicts pleaded with the court martial to be lenient and temper justice with mercy stating that some of the men convicted were the sole providers of their families. One of the convict is said to be the only child of his 80 year old mother while another is said to be the father of a 5-month old baby. The legal team argued that giving them maximum sentence would do more harm than good, adding that it would increase the agony of their dependants. Other members of the court are: Col. TS Nurseman, Col. TO Olowomeye, Col. IG Lassa, Lt.Col. JK Feboke, Lt. Col. CR Nnebeife, Major I Yusuf, Major TA Yakubu and Major AE Martins. Lt. Col. AA Audu and Lt. Col. Graphic pics: So sad Generator fumes kill man, wife & 3 children in Ikorodu

Generator fumes has killed a man, his wife and all his 3 children in Ipoyewa community of Ikorodu, Lagos. The bodies of the family was discovered by neighbours last Friday September 12th in their home. All five suffocated to death after inhaling fumes from a generator which they'd kept in their room. According to neighbours, the man bought the generator just two days before the unfortunate incident and was afraid it will be stolen if left outside so he kept it inside his 2-room apartment.

When the family failed to come out late Friday morning, a neighbour peeped through their window, saw bodies, and alerted others. They broke down the door to discover the horror. And when I say horror, I mean horror. The photos are really graphic so please be warned.

Residents of the community are blaming the family's deaths on lack of power in the area. They claim the last time they had light was 3 years ago, that every house in the area uses a generator. They said they have called on the government many times to help them with light but their efforts have yielded no fruit. See the pics after the cut.. *warning - graphic content*
People need to be educated about the dangers of generator fumes...

Man allegedly rapes his own daughter

The man you see in this pic is being accused of sexually molesting his own 5 year old daughter (pictured right). This happened in the Italuwo community in Ikorodu Road, Lagos. I don't have much details but according to a source, a neighbour suspected the man was assaulting the little girl and alerted people in the area. When confronted, he denied it but the girl confirmed she'd been molested. He was beaten and taken to the community security post. This pic was taken as he was being interrogated.

Rapist almost lynched in LAUTECH

In recent times, the crime rate at Ogbomoso, Oyo State has become inordinately high. And this is more so the case in areas where the student populace of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Akure (LAUTECH) reside.

With reports of theft, burglary, assault and rape, among other vices on the rise, the students of the institution residing at Adenike area again rose to an uproar on September 6, as one of the notorious armed robbers-cum-rapist was finally caught in the act. Continue...

Minimal violence ensued as the intended victims called the Students’ Union leadership and handed the criminal over to them. The Speaker of the Students Representative Council, Olalekan Salami, alongside other members of the House, took the criminal in the Unions’ bus, but unfortunately, on their way to the Police Station, the bus was involved in a mysterious accident, leaving a severe injury on Olalekan and 14 other persons in the bus with the exception of the criminal, Segun (last name withheld).

This accident further enraged the already pensive students as they promptly descended on the thief, stripped him naked and beat him severely. The police, prior to this time had already been summoned, so the students’ protest was halted at Orita Naira, where the Police Force demanded that the criminal be released to them.

The Students’ Union President, Areo Ajibola and the student leader, Bolarinwa Sheriffdeen, reacting on behalf of the entire students, refused to release him. The school authorities’ representatives present at the scene; Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Timothy Adebayo, Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr Tunde Olabiyisi and Deputy Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr Ishola, aided in calming down the students.

After much deliberations among the police force, the school authorities, the student leaders and the aggrieved town people, Segun was released on the agreement that he would be taken to Souns’ palace.
However, a police barricade at Iyana Owode, obstructed and redirected the protestants from their initial destination to the Ogbomoso Police Station.

Upon arrival at the police station, only Segun, Professor Adebayo, Dr Olabiyisi, Dr Ishola, Areo, Sheriffdeen, and two National Union of Campus Journalists members were allowed entrance into the police grounds.

After a lengthy meeting, the Area Commander and the District Police Officer assured the student leaders of justice and maximum security for the school and the town as a whole henceforth.

Parents release photo of daughter born at 24-week-old abortion limi

A grieving mum has released this heartbreaking photograph of her premature daughter who was delivered at the 24-week abortion limit, saying 'She's not a foetus, she's a fully-formed human being'

Born just 24 weeks (6 months) into her mother’s pregnancy tiny Adelaide was too small to survive. This treasured image of the tot reaching up as she let out a cry is the only picture her parents have of her alive. Continue...

Service Advisor Emily Caines, 25 from Yeovil, Somerset and husband security guard Alastair Caines, 29,  released the photograph in a bid to open up the debate about abortion.

The current law allows babies to be terminated up to 24 weeks gestation, the same as Adelaide when she was born.

She said:
"Our picture shows Adelaide was not a feotus she was a fully formed human being and to think that a baby like her could be legally terminated  on grounds of a lifestyle choice is to me is horrifying. Medical grounds is a different matter. Our hospital was amazing and did all they could but Adelaide suffered complications which made it impossible for her to survive but many babies born at 24 weeks do live.
"That makes a mockery of the 24 week legal limit."
Tragically Mrs Caines had already lost her first baby daughter Isabelle at 23 weeks after going into premature labour in September 2011. She died during delivery.

It was in the agonising weeks after her loss that she fell in love with close friend Alastair who helped her through her grief.

He later proposed and suggested that they marry on the first anniversary of Isabelle’s birth and death to help turn the saddest of days into a happy one.
Soon after marrying the couple began trying a baby together but after struggling to conceive doctors found scar tissue blocking Mrs Caine’s fallopian tubes.

They were told their only chance was IVF and fell pregnant after their first round.

At 20 weeks they learned they were expecting a girl and were relieved to pass the 24 week stage, when medics are legally obliged to help save the life of a premature baby.

Mrs Caines said: "Only then did I buy her a baby grow and Alistair bought her a pink cuddly bunny."
But just three days later she started to bleed and was rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol which has a specialist premature baby unit.

Mrs Caines was rushed into theatre for an emergency section on December 27 2013 and her husband was at her side when their tiny daughter was lifted out by medics and let out a cry.

That’s when a doctor took the only picture of their daughter alive at the birth on the couple’s camera.
Mrs Caines said: "That cry filled us with so much hope. Her little fists were waving and I could see the doctors working on her."

But after an hour they told the couple that it was proving impossible to get a line into their daughter’s lungs to help her breathe.

They agreed the kindest thing was to let her go.

Mrs Caines said: "Thinking of my daughters together was the only thing that got me through arranging another funeral.
"We were utterly heartbroken again."

Five months later they started another round of IVF and Mrs Caines is now 20 weeks pregnant with what she calls her ‘rainbow baby.’
She hopes that following a stitch in her cervix the pregnancy will progress normally. Her son is due in January 2015.
She said: "The theory of the rainbow baby is that something beautiful will follow the devastation caused by the storm.I hope sharing our story gives hope to others and helps other parents who have suffered a loss."

The couple are now keen to break down the taboos surrounding baby loss and neonatal death.

its for real o Liberian woman found hanging in Lagos

Earlier today I shared a pic http://segzybaba.blogspot.com/2014/09/is-this-prank-photo.htmlhere of a suspected suicide victim in the Magodo area of Lagos. The woman found hanging from the tree in the early hours of today September 12th on Bankole Street, Isheri-Oke, Lagos has been identified as a Liberian woman simply called Kate.

According to Punch, the woman was a worker in a sachet water factory before she killed herself. A resident of the area said people in the area started to distance themselves from her after the outbreak of Ebola in Lagos which was brought into the country by a Liberian. They also started avoiding her because of her ill health, a situation believed to have frustrated her enough to commit suicide.
"We see her in this neighbourhood every day. I used to see her every day in the dress she died in.She always looked sick but people stopped selling to her after the Ebola outbreak. It could be because she was Liberian and looked sickly. This might have frustrated her.”

FRSC to introduce ‘flying ticket policy’ for road offenders

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has announced it will soon be introducing 'Flying Ticket Policy' to penalize traffic offenders in the country.
The FRSC made this known yesterday September 11th at a conference in Abuja. They said the policy would empower officers of the commission to take picture evidence of traffic offenders in the country
"We are going to introduce flying tickets for traffic offenders which will enable our men and other road users to be able to report offenders by providing concrete evidence to us for prosecution. The picture of traffic offenders can be taken with mobile phone or any device that has camera. Continue...
What we need is the number plate of the vehicle and may be the picture of the driver, time and location. Once they send these data to our site or telephone number, we will search for the vehicle through Auto Reg. Data Bank and send the fine to the offenders. We are almost concluding on getting the necessary approval as we are still consulting with stakeholders and standard organisation of Nigeria (SON) to agree on speed limit,” he said.
He added that the fine for offenders could be as much as N50k in order to serve as deterrence to others

Oscar Pistorius granted bail. Sentencing set for October 13th

For his manslaughter charge, Oscar Pistorius faces from a 'fine to 15 years in prison' but the judge granted him bail extension today and asked him to go home. The judge didn't believe he will attempt to run despite the fact that he's sold all his property (to pay his legal fees). Oscar will remain in the custody of his uncle until October 13th when he will return to court for sentencing...

Is this a prank photo?

A twitter user said he was passing through a street in Magodo, Lagos and saw people taking pics of an apparent suicide victim... he took the pic and shared on Twitter. Is this for real though? Someone committed suicide and they are taking photos or...that's not a human being?

Ebola: South African Citizen Quarantined In Lagos

A South African, Folswe Elizabeth Maria, suspected of showing symptoms of Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, as she arrived Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos yesterday, has been quarantined at the isolation ward in Lagos.

The female passenger who came on board Royal Air Maroc, from Morocco was on transit when she took ill at the transit area of the airport after using the toilet. The case was immediately reported to officials of the Port Health Services who used the Infra-red Thermometre to test her and discovered that she had high temperature. The passenger was later taken to an isolation centre and kept under observation before transferring her to the isolationward.

It was further gathered that the woman had worked previously in two Ebola Virus Disease-prone countries of Guinea and Sierra Leone, thus fuelling suspicion that she could have contracted the disease.

Is this guy a real culprit?Ex-GF on how Oscar Pistorius terrorised her: 'I hid gun because I feared he'd kill me'

Oscar Pistorius’s former girlfriend has spoken of her terrifying relationship with the 'angry and possessive' Paralympian.

20 year old Samantha Taylor (pictured above) said she feared he would kill her and revealed she once hid his gun after he flew into a rage at her.

Oscar was cleared of killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp yesterday, but Samantha said: “It could have been me.” Continue...

Samantha and Oscar
Samantha said she was left with bruises and scars after the Blade Runner bit and pinched her, but she was also tortured mentally by him during the 18-month relationship.

She said:
“Oscar used to lock me in his house and then go out. I had no food, I couldn’t get out. It was dangerous. He often went out saying he will just be an hour or so and ended up out all day or night. I wouldn’t hear from him all night and his phone would be off. He would say he’s going out for an hour and the next day, three in the morning, he would drive home.”
Oscar's home which he sold to pay his legal fees. This is where he killed Reeva
She also described how he once left her paralysed with fear when he used his beloved Porsche as a weapon, driving her at up to 200mph to “punish” her.

Pistorius shot Reeva, 29, on Valentine’s Day 2013. And since that moment, Samantha has had nightmares.

Shuddering, she said:
“What happened to Reeva Steenkamp could so easily have happened to me. I definitely think that could have been me – without a doubt – many, many, many times.”
Samantha first met Pistorius in 2010 when she was 16 and he was 23 at a rugby match, but they did not start dating for another year.

Speaking of one ordeal, she said:
“He gets so mad, so angry he can’t even speak. He was trying to string his words together, spitting, shouting, grabbing. It was horrible. He used to bite me a lot, pinch me in anger and in fun. I had bruises and scars. It was painful.”
Sam and her mum

Another time the couple rowed when he accused her of sticking up for one of her ex-boyfriends.
She said:
“I was really scared. He made me stand on the stairs and shouted at me. It was like I was on the naughty step.”
But one night, things got so bad she thought he was going to shoot her at his home in Pretoria, South Africa, with the gun he would later turn on Reeva.
Samantha said:
“I had to hide his gun, I was so scared of him. We had friends over for dinner, at his house and we’d all had a little to drink but I think he was going for one that night.
“He was on the hard liquor. He moved all the couches and set the floor on fire and danced around it. It was a marble floor and he used alcohol to light it on fire. He slipped and he chipped his tooth.
“But because he was so drunk he thought I’d beaten him up. He started screaming at me. He was looking for his gun. He was saying I was a bitch because I beat him up. ‘What kind of person are you? You bitch.’ I felt threatened. Both of us went upstairs to bed and I was walking a bit in front of him."
"When I got to the room I hid his gun, because I really did think he’d use it. I hid it under the bed knowing he wouldn’t look there. He kept that gun, the one used on Reeva, on his table or by his prosthetic legs on the floor.
"He slept on the right near the windows and he never kept that gun under the bed, like he claimed in his statement.
"He kept telling me I was a bitch because his lip was cut, but I think he realised things had gone too far.” The next day the couple went to a wedding.
She said: “We rushed and he didn’t realise he had left his gun at home and he said to me ‘Oh my word, where’s my gun?’ I told him why I had hidden it.
"He didn’t apologise but didn’t want to acknowledge what had happened.”

Pistorius would vanish for nights of boozing, partying and chatting up impressionable women.
But when the couple were apart for longer periods, like when Oscar had athletics events abroad, his jealousy erupted.

Samantha said:
“His jealousy was very tough. He’d phone my mum and dad 10 times a day to find out where I was. In one month I received around 700 calls. It was excessive. If I hadn’t replied to messages within 30 seconds I was doing something wrong.”
Miming taking a selfie, she explained:
“I had to show him photos ‘look at me in my pyjamas – I’m not out! Look I’m watching TV, sitting with my brother.’ He’s a very insecure man. He’d call at all hours. I was scared of him at times because he had very bad anger issues. “It was horrible, when you are in a relationship you want someone to trust you. He never allowed me to wear make-up and would make me take my belly ring out.
"If we were going out he would just give me a few minutes so I would not have time to get ready. He didn’t like me dressing up and other men looking at me.”
